Avram Grant



Avraham "Avram" Grant born 6 May 1955 in Petah Tikva, Israel. He is an Israeli football manager who stated his managerial work at the age of 17. He currently serves as Manager for Indian Super League club NorthEast United FC. Grant has spent the majority of his career coaching and managing in Israel, winning a number of national league and cup victories with different teams, and also managing the Israeli national team for four years. He has also coach top football club teams like Chelsea,Portmount,West Ham United among others. It will interest you to know that despite his huge achievement in football history, he never played a professional football in his life .


André Villas-Boas


André Villas-Boas born 17 October 1977 in Porto, Portugal. He is a Portuguese football manager, who recently led Chinese Super League club Shanghai SIPG. André Villas-Boas career include an undefeated 2010–11 season in the Primeira Liga with Porto, winning four trophies and becoming the youngest manager ever to win a European title in the process,the highest points tally of 72 points in the Premier League through the 2012–13 season managing Tottenham (the highest points for a team to finish outside the top four at the time and three trophies during his spell with Zenit, achieving the fifth league title in the club history.

André Villas-Boas stated his carrier at porto in the observation department and later obtain the FA coaching qualification, the UEFA C coaching license in Scotland and for him to study the training methods of Ipswich Town.He obtained his C license at the age of 17, and his B license at 18. He received his A license at the age of 19, and later acquired UEFA Pro License under the tutelage of Jim Fleeting.He had a short stint as technical director of the British Virgin Islands national team at the age of 21 before he moved on to a career as an assistant coach at Porto under José Mourinho. As Mourinho moved clubs to Chelsea and Internazionale, Villas-Boas followed.

He is one of the top-level managers who have never played football professionally.


Brian Kerr


Brian Kerr born 3 March 1953 in Dublin, Ireland. He is an Irish football manager.He grew up playing football and boxing. At the age of 13, he took his first coaching role with the Crumlin United under-11 side. Realizing later that he didn’t have the talent to become a top player, he decided to focus on coaching. In 1986, he was appointed manager of the League of Ireland side St Patrick's Athletic. In 1992, when the club was facing liquidation, Kerr was among the investors who raised IR£82,000 to help save the club. In December 1996, he left St. Pat's to become the technical director of the Football Association of Ireland, but he is still idolized by the St. Pat's fans. He worked with the Republic of Ireland youth squads and also with the senior side. He was appointed as the full-time manager of the senior Ireland team on 26 January 2003. In 2007, Kerr became the Director of Football of St. Patrick's Athletic. Then, in 2009, he was confirmed as the head coach of the Faroe Islands national team.He left that post in October 2011.

Kerr currently works as a studio analyst and co-commentator for RTÉ Sport, TV3 and Setanta Sports. He is another football manager legend that did not play a professional football.


Arrigo Sacchi


Arrigo Sacchi born 1 April 1946 is an Italian former football coach. He was twice manager of Milan (1987–1991, 1996–1997), with great success. He won the Serie A title in his 1987–88 debut season and then dominated European football by winning back to back European Cups in 1989 and 1990. From 1991 to 1996, he was head coach of the Italy national team and led them to the 1994 FIFA World Cup final, only to lose to Brazil in a penalty shoot-out. He is regarded as one of the greatest managers of all-time. In January 2017, Sacchi was named among the ten greatest coaches since the foundation of UEFA in 1954.

Sacchi was never a professional football player and for many years worked as a shoe salesman.


Leonardo Jardim


Leonardo Jardim Born on 1 August 1974 in Barcelona, Anzoátegui, Venezuela, to Portuguese parents who had settled in the country. He returned to Portugal at a very young age  and relocating to the island of Madeira. In 2001 at age 27, he started his manager career, acting as assistant to local A.D. Camacha for two years.  He is a Portuguese football manager, currently in charge of French club AS Monaco FC. He is one of the successful football manager in the world that did not play a professional football.


Robert Frank Bradley


Robert Frank Bradley born in Montclair, New Jersey USA on 3 March , 1958. He is an American soccer coach currently serving as head coach of Los Angeles FC.  After his graduation from Princeton, Bradley briefly worked in the Procter & Gamble executive training program before entering the Ohio University sports management graduate school in 1981. While there, Bradley's managing career began when he was named head coach of the Ohio University Bobcats's NCAA Division I soccer program at the age of 22. He did not play a professional football during his career.
