Most Dangerous Places On Earth

God created every thing good for mankind but there is need to enlighten our self's about some things under the sun which looks abnormal to human or things that goes beyond human explanation . I have taken my time to talk about few places on earth that are dangerous for human to visit .

Snake Island, Brazil

Snake Island is an island off the coast of Brazil in the Atlantic Ocean. The island is partly covered in rain forest and partly bare rock and grassy cleared areas, a result of deforestation. It is administered as part of the municipality of Peruíbe in the State of São Paulo. The island is small in size and has many different types of terrain, ranging from bare rock to rain forest. The island has a temperate climate. The island is the only home of the critically endangered, venomous Bothrops insularis (golden lance head pit viper), which has a diet of birds. The snakes became trapped on the island when rising sea levels covered up the land that connected it to the mainland. This left the snakes to adapt to their environment, increase rapidly in population and render the island dangerous to public visitation. Queimada Grande is closed to the public in order to protect this snake population; access is only available to the Brazilian Navy and selected researchers vetted by the Chico Mendes Institute for Biodiversity Conservation, the Brazilian federal conservation unit.

Below are facts that makes Snake Island a very dangerous place on earth :-
  • It has the largest concentrated population of snakes in the world.
  • There are an estimated one to five snakes per square meter.
  • The snakes' poison is fast-acting, and melts the skin around the bite(s).
  • The Brazilian Navy has forbidden anyone from landing on the island.

The area is known for its volcanoes and extreme heat, with daytime temperatures surpassing 50 °C (122 °F).Less than an inch of rainfall occurs each year. The Danakil Desert is one of the lowest and hottest places on Earth. It is inhabited by a few Afar, who engage in salt mining.

Below are facts that makes Danakil Desert a very dangerous place on earth :-
  • It is the hottest place on Earth in terms of year-round average temperatures.
  • It is one of the lowest places on the planet (100 m below sea level).

Oymyakon, Russia

Oymyakon is a rural locality in Oymyakonsky District of the Sakha Republic, Russia, located along the Indigirka River, 30 kilometers (19 mi) northwest of Tomtor on the Kolyma Highway. It is one of the coldest permanently inhabited locales on Earth.

With an extreme subarctic climate , Oymyakon is known as one of the places considered the Northern Pole of Cold, the other being the town of Verkhoyansk, located 629 km (391 miles) away by air. The ground is permanently frozen (continuous permafrost). On February 6, 1933, a temperature of -67.7 °C (-89.9 °F) was recorded at Oymyakon's weather station. This was the coldest officially recorded temperature in the Northern Hemisphere. Only Antarctica has recorded lower official temperatures (the lowest being -89.2 °C (-128.6 °F), recorded at Vostok Station on 21 July 1983.

Some years the temperature drops below 0 °C (32 °F) in late September and may remain below freezing until mid-May. In Oymyakon sometimes the average minimum temperature for January, February and December remains below -50 °C (-58 °F). Sometimes summer months can also be quite cold, but June and July are the only months where the temperature has never dropped below -10 °C (14 °F). Oymyakon and Verkhoyansk are the only two permanently inhabited places in the world that have recorded temperatures below -60.0 °C (-76 °F) for every day in January.

Sahel, North Africa

The Sahel is a narrow belt of land in West Africa. It is a strip of dry land about 5500 kilometers long and 450 kilometers wide. It lies at the southern edge of the Sahara Desert and is located between the dry desert land to the north and the forest areas to the south. The Sahel has a tropical semi-arid climate. The temperature is high throughout the year. There is little rainfall in the Sahel (between 100-150 mm and 600mm). It is concentrated during summer months and can be unreliable. It may be very dry in some years, especially if a large area of low pressure, which brings rain, is not carried North over the Sahel by strong winds.

Below are facts that makes Sahel a very dangerous place on earth :-
  •  It is a home for big predators such as East African lion, Northeast African cheetah, African wild dog, East African lion and Northwest African cheetah.
  • According to the Koppen climate classification, it has the hot steppe and tropical climate.  The condition is dry, hot and sunny. Compared to the climate of Sahara desert, it is less extreme.
  • It become drier at an exceedingly fast pace. This climate change caused lakes and rivers to shrink rather significantly and caused increasing desertification.

Mount Sinabung, Indonesia

Mount Sinabung is a Pleistocene-to-Holocene stratovolcano of andesite and dacite in the Karo plateau of Karo Regency, North Sumatra, Indonesia, 40 kilometres (25 mi) from the Lake Toba supervolcano. Many old lava flows are on its flanks and the last known eruption, before recent times, occurred in the year 1600.Solfataric activities (cracks where steam, gas, and lava are emitted) were last observed at the summit in 1912; recent documented events include an eruption in the early hours of 29 August 2010 and eruptions in September and November 2013, January, February and October 2014.A pyroclastic flow in May 2016 killed seven people. Between 2013 and 2014 the alert for a major event was increased with no significant activity. On 2 June 2015, the alert was again increased, and on 26 June 2015, at least 10,000 people were evacuated, fearing a major eruption. The long eruption of Mount Sinabung is similar to Mount Unzen in Japan, which erupted for five years after lying dormant for 200 years.

Mount Sinabung is a Pleistocene-to-Holocene stratovolcano. It is located in a relatively cool area on a fertile plateau with mountains bounding the north.

Below are facts that makes Mount Sinabung a very dangerous place on earth :-
  •  Mount Sinabung is the most active volcano in Indonesia. It has erupted several times for seven years.
  • Mount Sinabung ranks on the second highest mountain in North Sumatera with an altitude of 2,451 msl.

Skeleton Coast, Namibia

The Skeleton Coast is the northern part of the Atlantic Ocean coast of Namibia and south of Angola from the Kunene River south to the Swakop River, although the name is sometimes used to describe the entire Namib Desert coast. The Bushmen of the Namibian interior called the region "The Land God Made in Anger", while Portuguese sailors once referred to it as "The Gates of Hell".
The name Skeleton Coast was coined by John Henry Marsh as the title for the book he wrote chronicling the shipwreck of the Dunedin Star. Since the book was first published in 1944 it has become so well known that the coast is now generally referred to as Skeleton Coast and is given that as its official name on most maps today.

On the coast the upwelling of the cold Benguela current gives rise to dense ocean fogs (called "cassimbo" by the Angolans) for much of the year. The winds blow from land to sea, rainfall rarely exceeds 10 millimetres (0.39 in) annually and the climate is highly inhospitable. There is a constant, heavy surf on the beaches. In the days before engine-powered ships and boats, it was possible to get ashore through the surf but impossible to launch from the shore. The only way out was by going through a marsh hundreds of miles long and only accessible via a hot and arid desert. The coast is largely soft sand occasionally interrupted by rocky outcrops. The southern section consists of gravel plains while north of Terrace Bay the landscape is dominated by high sand dunes. Skeleton Bay is now known as a great location for surfing.

Below are facts that makes Skeleton Coast a very dangerous place on earth :-
  • It keeps trophies of the ghostly remains of ships it has ruined, makes it a dwelling place for ghost.
  • Many have been lost and never found.
  • Wild animals abound and the sand are ever-shifting.
  • It ranks among the most feared and scary places on Earth.
